1. Getting started (^ back to top ^)

a) after receiving a team first step is to sign contracts with players - visit page FREE PLAYERS and select their positions (guards, forwards or centers); when You click on players name his data will be displayed and at the bottom of the page HIRE THIS PLAYER button will be available

b) the players have OVERALL ABILITIES parameter - the sum of those parameters in a single team can't exceed 150 to avoid "dream teams"

c) if player belongs to You at the bottom of the page REMOVE THIS PLAYER FROM THE TEAM button will be visible and by clicking on it You simply terminate contract with that player and he is again available for other teams (caution: You will have to pay him compensation and can't sign back the player as long as your team is listed as his previous team),

d) to prepare team for next league game You have to choose starting line-up and second line-up

e) to prepare team for league game You need at least 10 players - there isn't any maximum number of players as long as the sum of average abilities won't exceed 150

f) also take care of game tactics (very important) and training schedule.

2. How to get kicked-out of this game? (^ back to top ^)

a) if You won't set-up team for next league game Your team will lose by walkover 0:60, if this will happen 3 times in same season You will be kicked-out

b) if You will add any offensive, rasist or rude comments to message board You will be kicked out of the game

c) if during the season You won't log-in for longer than 7 days (or 14 daysduring summer months) You will be kicked-out of the game

d) if You'll choose some silly or offensive name for Your team You won't even enter the game - You will be removed from waiting list

e) if You try to takeover more than one team or cheat in any other way - what a surprise - You will be history

f) if You'll make Game Admin angry You will be definately kicked-out of the game

3. Matches (^ back to top ^)

a) the league games are being played 3 times a week on 20:00 CET (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), play-off games at the end of season are being played every day of the week

b) the line-ups automatically play as follows:
1st quarterstarting line-up
2nd quarterstarting line-up (from 1st till 6th minute)
second line-up (from 7th minute till end of quarter)
3rd quartersecond line-up
4th quarterstarting line-up

c) second line-up players will spend less time in game and of course will lose less fitness than startign line-up,

d) You don't have to pick-up team for each game - as long as all the players in line-up are fit enough to play You don't have to do anything, if there is anything wrong with the team VIEW / SELECT LINE-UP options with be highlighted in red

e) NEW!! it is possible that when one player (and only one) in the line-up is injured the team won't lose by walkover - the player will be automatically replaced by "Amateur Player" with minimum skill levels

f) NEW!! managerless teams will automatically have set the line-up filled with amateur players

g) player abilities are being used according to situation in game - even if Your player has shooting at level 20 it doesn't mean that he will be the top scorer in the game, even if he has 20 in defence abilities it doesn't mean that he will get many steals, etc.

4. Player abilities (^ back to top ^)

a) player abilities are from range 1-20 points where 20 marks that player is good in this ability and 1 means that he is poor

b) player's main abilities are:
Strength - helps in defence and in attack when the physical force needs to be used
Handling - how good the player controls the ball during f.e. dribbling
Shooting - easy to guess what does it mean
Defence - sum of player reflex, intuition used for stopping opponent or steal ball
Jumping - important for rebounds and sometimes in scoring baskets (can't be changed during training)
Flair - ability to find a clever way to do something, important for attack and defence (can't be changed during training)

Other parameters are:
Experience - gained during games, may help sometimes to win ball or score even when the opponent have better skills
Fitness - shows how tired the player is (tiredness affects all the main parameters, so player will score less points, play poorer in defence, etc.) - when will drop below 80% player is exhausted and can't play
Morale - changes on club efforts and level of fitness, when morale reaches really low level player may even leave the team;

c) parameters aren't proportional, so even if one player has shooting ability on level 20 and the other one only 1 it doesn't mean that the first one will score 20 times more points than the second one, etc. it will only mean that the first player will almost certainly be better scorer

d) each user may only see parameters of players that he owes, all other players' abilities will be simply marked by stars - bigger and brighter star means higher level of this ability

e) average abilities of player are being set by simple average of all six abilities - morale, experience and fitness has nothing to do with average

f) each player is best on his default position, but they can be set on different positions:
guardsmay also play as forwards
forwardsmay also play as centers or guards
centersmay also play as forwards

5. Tactics (^ back to top ^)

a) the tactics are splitted in two parts: for defensive and offensive actions

b) the offensive tactics:
normal - the players are deciding themselves how to play
play for the center - most of the passes are being played to the centres and they will try to score
shoot 3-pointers - the players are using almost every chance to score for 3 points
try fast counter-attacks - on ball interception long passes to players moving fast in counter-attack instead of slow build-up of action
in & out - quick passes to the center and back to the guards or forwards can make the opponents helpless

c) the defensive tactics:
normal - the players are deciding themselves how to defend
concentrate on the center - they attempt to cut-off opponents center from the passes
pressing outside the court - the defensive zone is set outside the court so the opponents don't have too much space for 3-point shots
keep guards back - the guards won't try to enter the basket area to avoid counter-attacks from opponents
close individual covering - the defence is kept strictly man-to-man not to give opponents too much space inside the court

6. Training and coaches (^ back to top ^)

a) the training is effective only if your team has a coach

b) there are 3 training sessions during the week - on Tuesday and Thursday are set by manager, 3rd take place on Saturday and is based on coach abilities and character only

c) on each session only one of the parameters may be trained

d) the players parameters won't increase instantly - sometimes it takes few weeks to improve, also it does matter how many players You have in the team (more players = more work for the coach and less possibiliy to improve fast)

e) team coach abilities (the highest level of each coach skill is 9) are very important on the training - the highest level of the training ability means faster improvement for the players

f) You may have only one coach at the time - if he can't train what Your player needs to learn better replace him with some other coach

g) the training may improve only 4 of the players' abilities - jumping and flair can't be improved by the training, it's just something that player is or isn't good at or they could be changed by special events

h) player's age does not affect training results - older player may learn as much as a young one

7. Contracts (^ back to top ^)

a) players may be released from their contracts at any time, but can't be signed back until they will appear in some other team and will be released as well, altought a compensation must be payed to the player (half of the money he would earn until end of contract)

b) player contract length is shown on his personal page and economy page - if there are less than 4 weeks left contract may be extended for another 15 weeks, but this will cause the wages increase by 15%

c) weeks in contract length are counted in real life weeks, meaning Sunday to Sunday (not from one league game to another)

d) if player contract won't be extended he leaves the team at the end of the week

e) coaches may be released from their contracts at any time, but they also may be signed back at any time (if they still are available of course)

f) all players at the bottom of their details page have option to open them for offers from other clubs - the transfer fee for this player is calculated from his contract value at current team (weeks until end of contract x weekly wages), manager may only set for how many percent of this value player may be released (from 10% to 100%),

g) player buy-out is automatical - current team manager doesn't have any influence on which team will get this player

h) NEW!! the club boards don't allow to spend too much of the current budget on a single signing - they will block the offer if the team won't have enough money to cover the deal and player future wages

i) player may be set unavailable for offers at any time, the only exception is when the player is put for offers on his own request - in that case he can't be stopped from leaving team

j) NEW!! really unhappy players may cancel the contract with the club - in that case they will leave the team immediately and there aren't any compesations for that (to the club or player)

8. Economy (^ back to top ^)

a) each team starts with 20 million on bank account

b) each team pay players wages and have 3 ways of income: sponsorship, tickets and merchandise

c) sponsorship deal may be closed at any time, but there is no guarantee that the best offers won't be already taken; each team may only have one sponsor per season

d) NEW!! each time You enter the page with sponsorship offers there will be list of 5 companies with the weekly amount of money they offer - this list is same for all the teams and will change each time some team will accept any offer from the list (the taken offer will be replaced by new one)

e) sponsorship contracts are changing during the season according to team performances (teams with good results may receive more money from their sponsors, on the other hand unhappy sponsors may cut down their investment)

e) teams receive ticket income only from home games

f) merchandise level and match attendance are based on team performance: better results = more crowds and more money

g) team that will be in debts may not sign any more players or extend contracts which will lead to manager sacking

h) NEW!! if the team gets bankrupt all the players are being automatically released from their contracts and the new board of dicectors is clearing the debts (manager is given small amount of money to sign new players)

h) team have to spend money on arena maintain each week - 4 x arena capacity

i) arena capacity may be increased through Economy page - capacity increase is set in pack of 500 seats, the maximum level is 50.000 seats
