Lea Thompson was born on May 31st 1961 in Rochester, Minnesota and began her career as a ballet dancer. Later she decided to take on acting and I don't think there is anyone now that would say it was a mistake.
At the beginning she played in B-class movies, like Jaws 3D or Space Camp. The two biggest breaktroughs in her career were Back to the Future movie series and Caroline in the City comedy-series.
In private life she was engaged with actor Dennis Quaid, but finally she have married director Howard Deutch, now they have two daughters (Zoey and Madeline) and live together in Los Angeles.
